What can / can't worms eat?
How do I know what I can and can't feed my worm? Some people say no animal products some people say no citrus and some people say they can eat anything.
Meet, dairy, onions, garlic, strong citrus...
Oh, and non-food of course... ;-)
hi Catherine,
They do not really like an overdose of chilli peppers either.
They also don't like it when the wormfarm gets too wet and moist, if that happens, you might want to put a bit of shredded newspaper in.
Worms can eat anything that has been living, however citrus are not the best. I even put my newspaper in my worm farm, and newspaper on ground and manure on top. Keep it moist and the worms love it!
Or you might like to try a Bokashi Bin. They can take meat scraps and are great for apartments.
We have a worm farm in our kitchen and it is fantastic! Never smells... so easy!
We found this worm at school and we would love to keep and feed the worm to see how it changes and grow. But I am not sure what to feed the worm , we don't want to kill him. The worm is quite big and green. It has 2 black dots . On top of its head that looks like eyes each black dot has three small white dots.
I really want to know what I can and can't feed him.
i have a worm farm and i know that worms love to eat fruit like apples, banana, pear, tomato and v-tables like pumpkin, potato, lettuce. of course no meat or citrus or dairy! but they love love love shredded paper or newspaper but make sure its wet or the worms wont be abled to eat it! ( they dont have teeth)
